Q4 Feature Releases: Summarization + more!

This release provides the Fathom community with more flexibility in how to interact with data, the ability to auto-summarize theme charts, and ease-of-use improvements to bring greater clarity to analytics dashboard.

These features are pushed live to all customer dashboards, both previous uploads and everything moving forward:

• Summarization (Beta): click on any theme in your chart to generate a text-based summary of that theme in your dashboard. 

  Fathom now offers summarization - and it’s super accurate! We’ve built a flow that only summarizes data that has already been accurately coded. In other words, when you click that button, you get an accurate summary of the themes that have already been identified, verified and coded in your open-ended data. The summary pulls it together in a lovely paragraph description to accompany your chart.

• Export Improvements: you can now choose to export all your coded-data, or single questions, and you can include any uploaded metadata in that export. Need to export your coded open-ended data back out of Fathom? No problem! Choose entire surveys or specific open-ended questions. Your export includes respondent level ID, verbatim response, binary codes for all themes and subthemes, as well as respondent level close-ended questions and metadata.

• Dashboard clarity: we hear over and over how much you appreciate the delightful intuitive analysis dashboard. So we’re continuing to improve on it! Among other things, survey name is now displayed in each analysis dashboard and you can toggle between % and #count in charts

Core-tech improvements continue to increase the speed of delivery, without ever sacrificing human oversight or the accuracy our customers depend on. Plus, we’re getting ready to accommodate more file formats to meet all your needs.
